The Bryce Jordan Center

This 16,000-seat arena, whose name honors the Penn State president who first envisioned its construction, opened in 1996. Penn State alumni and friends contributed more than $22 million toward its construction. The Jordan Center hosts commencements and academic convocations, Big Ten Basketball, and entertainment events featuring world renown performers ranging from Bruce Springsteen to Taylor Swift, from the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus to the Bolshoi Ballet. The Jordan Center also serves as an important regional venue for exhibitions, conference and trade shows. Its unique bi-level design gives it a lower profile than adjacent Beaver Stadium and complements the curve of nearby landmark Nittany Mountain.
